Friday, September 5

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival, youโ€™ll be driven to the town of Reykjavik โ€“ the capital city of Iceland and the northernmost capital city in the world. Two-thirds of Icelandโ€™s population lives in this city. As you drive, youโ€™ll be able to take in the sights of this unique city. Reykjavik is a colorful and creative city that blends modern innovation with the cityโ€™s cultural history.

Enjoy a welcome dinner at La Primavera Restaurant. Iceland prides itself on its abundance of fresh food, whether that is seafood right from the harbor, vegetables grown in the volcanic soil, or seasonal wild game.

Youโ€™ll stay at the Reykjavik Edition, a 5-star modern luxury experience in the heart of one of the worldโ€™s most sustainable capitals.


Saturday, September 6

Day 2: Private Whale-Watching Tour 

Your first adventure in Iceland will be a private whale-watching tour. After departing from Reykjavik Old Harbor, youโ€™ll be able to take in the sight of the whales in their natural habitat. The guides on the boat will help point out where the whales are and will provide information about the types of whales you can expect to see. Youโ€™ll be sailing on โ€œThe Rose,โ€ a fast and luxurious boat that will also carry fishing poles for any passengers hoping to find the catch of the day.

After your tour, enjoy lunch at the Kopar Restaurant. Reykjavik began as a fishing village, and to honor this heritage, youโ€™ll be dining at the Kopar in the old harbor. The restaurant is housed in an old fishermanโ€™s hut and hosts a menu of fresh seafood.

Youโ€™ll have some time to explore the Reykjavik before gathering for dinner at the Nautholl Restaurant, a luxurious and modern downtown restaurant. The restaurant overlooks Reykjavikโ€™s thermal beach and is located only five minutes from downtown. Overnight at Reykjavik Edition.


Sunday, September 7

Day 3: Borgarfjรถrรฐur Fjord and the Ice Tunnels

Your third day in Iceland will bring you to Western Icelandโ€™s โ€œSilver Circle,โ€ home to the Borgarfjรถrรฐur Fjord. The land around the Fjord, though rural, has been inhabited since Iceland was first settled and is home to the second-smallest village in Iceland. Enjoy lunch at the Hรบsafell Restaurant, located in the Hรบsafell Hotel. After lunch, journey out to the Langjokull Ice Tunnels. These tunnels are man-made and housed inside Europeโ€™s second-largest glacier. Overnight at Reykjavik Edition.


Monday, September 8

Day 4: Hvammsvรญk Hot Springs

The fourth day of Icelandic adventures will be spent at Hvammsvรญk Hot Springs. There are eight geothermal pools that vary in temperature from 95-104 degrees Fahrenheit. The pools are surrounded by rocks and hidden in the mountains, allowing you to relax peacefully in the mountainโ€™s beautiful scenery. Enjoy lunch and a nature walk in the stunning surrounding landscape. Overnight at Reykjavik Edition.


Tuesday, September 9

Day 5: Explore the Golden Circle

On your fifth day in Iceland, youโ€™ll be transferring to the Icelandic countryside. Prepare yourself for wilderness adventures and the chance to explore the stunning landscape. Youโ€™ll be staying in the heart of the golden circle, a famous set of natural landmarks.

One excursion option will be snowmobiling the Golden Circle. Explore Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir hot springs, the Gullfoss waterfall, and the Langjรถkull glacier. Another tour option with similar routing will be the Super Jeep tour. The sites on the Golden Circle canโ€™t be missed. If you want to spend more time exploring the Langjรถkull glacier, take a snowmobile out and spend an hour exploring Icelandโ€™s second-largest glacier.

After your excursions, youโ€™ll have the chance to enjoy a seafood buffet on the glacier. There will be serving tables and benches carved into the snow. If the weather is unfavorable, the buffet can be served and eaten in the glacier hut at the glacierโ€™s edge.

Dinner will be served at the Hotel Geysir.

Youโ€™ll be staying at the Hotel Geysir, a modern hotel in the historic Haukadalur Valley. The resort is in the heart of the Golden Circle route, making it the perfect place to stay for nature-lovers and those who love adventure.


Wednesday, September 10

Day 6: Adventure in Thorsmork Valley 

On your sixth day in Iceland, youโ€™ll be transferring to the world-renowned Retreat Hotel at the Blue Lagoon. During your stay, youโ€™ll be able to spend time out in the Icelandic Wilderness. Explore the Thorsmork Valley, a hikerโ€™s paradise reachable only by modified super Jeeps. See the Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Thorsmork Nature Reserve. Another option is a buggy safari on the South coast. Take a 4×4 for an off-roading adventure. If weather permits, youโ€™ll enjoy an outdoor BBQ lunch in Thorsmork.

In the evening, dinner will be at FJร–RUBORรIร, a seashore restaurant in the village of Stokkseyri.

Youโ€™ll be staying at the Blue Lagoon Retreat. This stunning resort is built into a moss-covered lava flow. The resort borders the famous Blue Lagoon, a set of geothermal spas with iconic blue pools. This resort allows early access to the Blue Lagoon as well as access to a private geothermal pool away from the crowds of the Blue Lagoon.


Thursday, September 11

Day 7: The Blue Lagoon and Aurora Basecamp

Your seventh day in Iceland will be all about relaxation and healing in the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy the Lava Cove, a self-contained and completely secluded spa at the Retreat. The Lava Cove features a wood-burning fireplace, a butler, and a private geothermal pool.

Enjoy lunch at the Lava Restaurant at the Blue Lagoon.

In the evening, experience a private dinner at the Aurora Basecamp. Dine in a glass observatory and try to spot the Northern lights as you dine.


Friday, September 12

Day 8: Travel Day

On your final day in Iceland, you can explore and enjoy the retreat’s amenities before departing for your flight home.
