Serving the community has always mattered at Sunpro, and that commitment was recently recognized in a big way.
Brandon Chacon was named a recipient of the Golden Heart Award by the Salt Lake Home Builders Association, an honor given to individuals who make a meaningful impact through service.
Brandon has spent years volunteering through the SLHBA’s Community Services Committee, working on projects that support families and individuals in need across the Wasatch Front. He has partnered closely with Jason Butterfield, associate vice president of lumber for Sunpro’s Wasatch Front operations, to help lead and support those efforts.
“This kind of work is never about one person,” Brandon said. “It involves showing up, working together and helping where it’s needed most. I’ve been lucky to be part of a group that truly cares about giving back.”
“Brandon is consistent, dependable and genuinely cares about people,” Jason said. “He doesn’t look for recognition. He just gets involved and does the work, and that’s what makes this award so fitting.”
We’re proud of Brandon and grateful for the time and effort he continues to give to our community. It’s a great example of what it looks like to put people first.
