At Sunpro, “We Value People” is one of our core values. That includes supporting our team members in the things they care about beyond work, when it naturally makes sense. That’s why we were proud to sponsor team member Russell Rowley at the recent Fall Bracket Fest in Grand Junction, Colorado. His Sunpro-logoed car turned heads and even sparked conversations with customers, giving our local team great exposure.
“I participated in one of the higher paying drag races in the region,” Russell explained. “There were around 106 cars, split into Pro and Super Pro. I was in Pro with about 48 cars.”
Despite a rain delay that forced two days of racing into one, Russell advanced far into the field. “I made it down to the final eight cars on Friday night’s race, and Sunday night I made it down to the final six,” he said.
Racing has been part of his life for years. “I’ve been racing since I was 12. I’ve had this particular car for 14 years. My dad and I rebuilt it together, so it’s important to me,” Russell said.
The sponsorship came naturally. Sunpro first learned about Russell’s racing when his team was acquired several years ago. With a Sunpro location now in Grand Junction, stepping up support was an easy choice. It gave our brand a chance to be visible in the community while backing one of our own.
At Sunpro, we believe in showing up for our people on and off the job site. Supporting Russell at the Fall Bracket Fest shows how our commitment to people extends beyond the job site and into the communities we’re part of. We’re proud to be building a better community wherever we live and work.
