The Other Side

Sunpro recently partnered with Perry Homes to donate a lumber package for a duplex at The Other Side Village in Salt Lake City. The Other Side Village supports people coming out of homelessness as they work toward greater stability and independence while reintegrating into the community.

The build moved fast. What normally takes much longer was completed in just two weeks, making the project especially unique for everyone involved. Even with the tight timeline, the goal stayed clear from the start: help create something that will make a real difference for people working toward stability and a fresh start.

The opportunity came to Sunpro through Perry Homes, which invited the team to be part of the project. After attending a pre-construction meeting and learning more about The Other Side Village, Sunpro saw it as a meaningful way to get involved.

“This felt like a really good fit for Sunpro,” said Shawn Jackson, Building Materials Sales Representative at Sunpro. “After learning more about The Other Side Village and the impact it has in helping people turn their lives around, we were happy to be part of it.”

Projects like this one take more than one company or group of people. They come together with a willingness to give time, resources, and expertise where it matters.

For Sunpro, this was a chance to work alongside Perry Homes on a project with a clear purpose and to support something that reaches beyond the build itself. Sunpro is grateful to have played a part and is proud to support work that goes beyond construction.
