LBM Journal 100

Sunpro secured the No. 18 spot in the latest Lumber and Building Materials (LBM) Journal rankings, despite a nationwide slowdown in sales last year.

“It’s amazing to think that Sunpro with lumber and building materials operations in only two states—Idaho & Utah—is one of the top 20 LBM dealers in the country!” said Greg Templeman, President of Sunpro. “Thank you to each of the hard-working team members at Sunpro, our customers and supply chain partners!”

Even with unpredictable challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, such as supply chain disruptions and changes in the labor market, growth had remained fairly constant in the industry until last year. According to the latest LBM Journal report, while 2022 saw sales gains for nearly all top 100 companies, 77 out of 100 saw a drop in gross sales in 2023.

Sunpro, however, continues to expand with new operations under construction in St. George and Pleasant View, Utah, and Sugar City, Idaho. Construction is expected to finish in all locations by the end of 2025.

The company has demonstrated significant progress over the past few years, moving from 23rd in 2020 up to its highest-ever ranking of 14th in 2022. Standings are based on annual revenue comparisons among companies in the industry.
