When it comes to Building a Better Community, Steve Wilmoth doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk.
With almost two decades of experience at Sunpro, most recently as the Heber City Building Materials Location Manager, Steve has become a valuable asset to the company, but it’s his leadership and dedication that truly set him apart.
“I have always been passionate about making a positive impact on others where I live and work,” Steve said. “It’s important to me to be involved and give back whenever I can.”
His enthusiasm for community involvement is evident in his work on the Oakley City Council, where he has served for the past nine years. Through his public service, Steve stays in touch with what’s going on in his community and helps make a difference in the lives of those who live there.
“Being involved publicly helps me stay in touch with what’s going on, and I can help make a big difference in people’s lives,” Steve said. “It feels good to help out.”
Steve’s dedication to his work at Sunpro is just as impressive. As the longest-running manager on the lumber side of operations, he has proven himself to be an excellent leader and team player. His colleagues admire his dependability and his drive to succeed.
“He’s always good to reach out to me and seek direction on how he should proceed with things,” said Jason Butterfield, Steve’s supervisor and Division Manager at Sunpro. “His focus and drive to succeed are certainly contagious. He’s an excellent leader and is very engaged with his coworkers. He’s an extremely dependable individual.”
While Steve is undoubtedly passionate about his work, he also believes in the importance of having a life outside it. He plays softball two nights a week in both slow and fast pitch, enjoys hunting, traveling with his trailer, and bowling with his wife.
“Staying active is important to me because it helps me stay healthy and focused on my goals,” Steve said. “It’s just as important as my work and community involvement.”
Steve is proud to set a positive example for others to follow.
“I believe that it’s important to be a part of something bigger than yourself,” Steve said. “Whether it’s your job or your community, giving back and making a difference is what matters most.”
Steve is proud to set a positive example for others to follow. The way he handles his dedication to “Keep Building” at Sunpro, his community involvement, and his personal life is inspiring. He believes that giving back and making a difference is what matters most, and his actions demonstrate this belief.
