Jose Morales, a 12-year veteran insulation installer at Sunpro, has had quite an eventful career. Starting as an installer, he’s gradually worked his way up to team lead.
He began with the company after hearing about an open position from a friend who worked in Sunpro’s warehouse. It turned out to be a life-changing opportunity.
“I started as an installer in 2010 and immediately realized that this was the company I wanted to stay with for the long haul,” Jose said. “I have great benefits and pay. I love my job, and that’s why I have stayed with Sunpro for as long as I have.”
As an insulation team lead, Jose helps train new team members. He has acquired numerous skills and knowledge in his career, which have helped him learn different trades, and he’s proud to be able to pass on what he’s learned to others.
“I created a process that allows me to extend mesh installation coverage into difficult-to-reach areas without the need for scaffolding or ladders,” Jose said. “I’m also working on another invention to make the process of installing insulation easier and less physically demanding.”
Sunpro is committed to its value of “We Continuously Improve” and demonstrates this by encouraging employees like Jose to come up with new ideas and solutions that will make their work easier and more efficient.
“I love the fact that I’m not working in the same place every day,” Jose said. “I’m always moving from one place to another, learning a lot of different things. Not only have I learned all about insulation, but I also now know about framing and other trades.
“I try and treat every house I work on as if it were my own. I want our customers to know that their houses are going to be well insulated when they’re worked on by Sunpro. That’s my commitment.”
Jose’s dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, as his colleagues hold him in high regard. He is respected for his knowledge and expertise in insulation installation.
“Jose’s determined and very skill-oriented,” said Brett Pope, Project Manager at Sunpro. “He loves coming to work every day, and he faces challenging tasks with a smile on his face and a good attitude. He’s continuously improving himself and finding ways to do his job correctly and more efficiently. He’s the type of employee that every company would want to have.
“He truly believes that hard work pays off. He is always willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. It’s a pleasure to work with someone who takes so much pride in their work.”
Jose’s experience at Sunpro has been a remarkable journey. He’s proud to continually help in Building a Better Community each and every day.
“I love it here,” Jose said. “Sunpro takes good care of me. Despite some long days, I give them my best, and I always feel rewarded.”
